Favorite thing about One Nevada Credit Union: The convenience of their locations and ATMs make it easy to access your funds at any time, any day. Being able to pay my bills by using online bill pay is great and very easy to set up. When I have needed the assistance of the employees over the last 17 years, everyone has always been courteous and helpful. The rates that the credit union offers are also very competitive.

Q: Tell us a little bit about your career and how is progressed to your current position.
I was working at Circus Circus when my career took a change for the better. A corporate director of personnel was hired and I was hired as his administrative assistant in 1986. I learned all about human resources, benefits, negotiations and enjoyed is so much that I knew this was the career path I wanted to take. As time passed, I eventually was hired as the director of human resources at the Sahara Hotel and Casino in November 1995 and was there until it closed in May 2011. I have been fortunate to work for three great companies including my current employer, Hooters Casino Hotel.

Q: What is or what do you think is the biggest misconception about Hooters; the girls and the brand?
I think one misconception might be that the girls are less than what they are. A Hooters Girl image is that of the "All American Cheerleader". Our Hooters Girls portray this and have to work very hard to maintain the image and integrity of the brand of Hooters.

Q: Is there a difference between the LV Hooters and other Hooters and states and does the gambling/party town atmosphere completely change the environment?
I do not think that it changes the environment because, at Hooters whether here in Las Vegas or other states, the goal is to make sure our guests have fun, good food and the "hooterific experience" that you cannot find in another hotel/casino or establishment.

Q: What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
I love working with the employees and people in general. Therefore, one of my biggest rewards is being able to coach or assist an employee to become better and improve in their job.

Q: What advice would you give someone searching for a job in this city and tough economy?
You have to put yourself out there in the market and keep a positive attitude. I believe that when you are serious about finding work, you'll find it. As far as a resume, keep it brief and to the point, listing your experience and strengths.

Q: What do you think are some of the biggest interview mistakes and what impresses you during a job interview?
I disagree with the "formal interview questions" that are very impersonal and cold. When the applicant can be relaxed and hold a conversation and be honest with their responses, that is impressive to me. Most importantly, relax and "be yourself".

Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to read! My favorite books are suspense/mystery novels but I also enjoy biographies and learning about different areas of history and cultures. I enjoy swimming, walking and spending time with friends.
